NASCA is dedicated to creating positive futures for young Aboriginal Australians through educational engagement and life skills training. We support self-determination by being governed by an all-Aboriginal board who prioritise community engagement in program design, development and delivery. NASCA is a not for profit organisation, reliant on fundraising, and has tax-deductible status for donors.

Woolyungah Indigenous Centre offers access and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying at the University of Wollongong. Our programs aim to foster equity by supporting Indigenous peoples from entry to University, through to successful completion. Direct entry into the University’s undergraduate programs and Enabling programs is available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who apply through the Alternative Admissions Program. Current students are able to apply for academic assistance through the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS). Come in and meet our team for further information.

The AECSSU is an incorporated organisation that is funded by the Department of Education Science & Training to service and support Indigenous and non Indigenous independent preschools within New South Wales receiving SRA funding.

AECSSU deliver appropriate cultural programming for staff and committee members.

The strong, capable and vibrant New England Institute uses innovative methods, including web-enhanced learning, mixed mode and flexible delivery systems to deliver vocational education and training to sparsely populated areas.*Provide courses which are culturally appropriate for ATSI people.

*Provide funding and give support to all areas of these courses.

*Promote access for ATSI people to further educational and vocational training.

The Illawarra Institute’s Aboriginal Education and Training Unit provides opportunities to improve educational outcomes and employment prospects for Aboriginal communities. We can offer advice about courses, support Aboriginal people throughout their educational experience and liaise with local communities on their needs and requirements. TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute is also an official Panel Member of Experts and provides consultancy and training services to the Department of Immigration, Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs in a range of fields relevant to the Australian Government’s new Indigenous affairs arrangements. The aim of the unit is to manage, coordinate and promote Aboriginal education and training throughout the Institute. Also to provide a strategic planning focus for Aboriginal programs.

The Aboriginal Education Centre provides academic, cultural and personal support for Indigenous Australian students and a range of services designed to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in their academic work. The AEC is represented on each of the six campuses of UWS. It aims to provide not only student support and services, but also cultural space and meeting places for Indigenous Australian students. All Indigenous Australian students are encouraged to visit the centre and meet a very dedicated group of staff whose every effort will be to ensure that your stay at UWS is fulfilling in every way. The AEC’s expertise can be utilised in forming partnerships with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities, industry ad commerce by way of consultancy services and cooperative ventures.

The Aboriginal Education Program (AEP) provides an admissions scheme for all undergraduate courses at University of New South Wales for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The (AEP) also works with Indigenous communities through the community contact program to encourage Indigenous people to pursue their education goals and increase their knowledge about opportunities at University.

The AEF is an organisation established to encourage Aboriginal Christians in leadership, fellowship and responsibility. This is done through Evangelism; Leadership development; wholistic ministry focusing on social, physical, educational, economic and environmental needs and cultural interchange.

The Eora Centre for visual and perfoming arts and Aboriginal studies is a campus of Sydney Institute.

The Centre offers people full time certificate courses in a wide range of subjects. Courses range from Basic Adult Education to specialised professional development in the Visual and Perfoming Arts.

Indigenous Education Units are responsible for the administration of the Indigenous Education Direct Assistance (IEDA) programmes, which include the tutorial assistance parental involvement strategies and homework centres. These units provide advice and guidance to parents and students and process applications and payments under the programmes.
