Ensuring excellent teaching and learning in a caring environment is the key aim of Eglinton Public School. This is achieved through a school culture that ensures continuous improvement through well-planned policies and procedures. Student performance is continually evaluated and monitored through informal and formal assessment practices. Assessments include standardised tests as well as tests designed by teachers to measure specific student outcomes. Resources to support excellent teaching and learning are allocated in consultation with teachers and the P&C.
Parent input is valued in the preparation of the annual budget and the allocation of funds to teaching and learning key learning areas. Equity of allocation and effective distribution of resources is strongly considered. The school aims to provide training and development to teachers to ensure that teaching strategies are relevant and effective in addressing student needs.
