Umina Public School is situated in the fast growing Central Coast region of New South Wales. It is located on the shores of Broken Bay in the township of Umina, adjacent to the beach, shady parkland and the Umina Oval playing fields, facilities often utilised by school programs. The school maintains a quality learning focus with school structures, staffing and organisation supporting literacy, numeracy and technology. There is community recognition of the expertise the school has developed in the area of learning difficulties. The school's curriculum and organisation is grounded in an outcomes standards framework. Classes are organised on a Stage rather than age basis and class programs reflect the staged outcomes of NSW syllabuses. Our Motto is to 'Soar High' and our Mission Statement is that: 'In partnership with parents and the wider community, we strive to develop all students so that they may achieve personal excellence, through a commitment to lifelong learning, and can effectively contribute to the well-being of society today and in the future.'
