Newcastle Waters School is located 290km north of Tennant Creek on an excision of the Newcastle Waters Cattle Station. Newcastle Waters Station is an historic 10,353km2 cattle station in the Barkly Tablelands and was once the drovers’ crossing point where stock routes from the east and south met. The population of Newcastle Waters is approximately 30; with students attending the school from nearby Marlinja community. The community can be accessed all year round via road.
