Seton College is grounded in the traditions of the Daughters of Charity who were the foundation leaders of the College. Their special mission to assist the needy is translated here in the mission of Seton College which is to welcome and assist students requiring support. The College is located on spacious grounds in Cavendish Road, Mt Gravatt East. An extensive building programme has seen the college transformed into a modern educational centre. Seton College is a regular high school in the junior years. Students of all abilities can do well but the College also provides opportunities for students who have experienced difficulties with their school work in earlier years to be more successful. The curriculum includes most core subjects and some elective subjects in the areas of Commerce, Home Economics and Manual Arts. Particular emphasis is given to Literacy and Numeracy. We believe education in faith should have a central place and we acknowledge the relevance to all areas of learning of the Christian way of life as interpreted in the Catholic tradition. This Christian life is expressed in celebration, prayer, worship, the presence of religious symbols and our dedication to pastoral care and service. Our aim is to assist all to achieve their potential as educated, thoughtful, responsive Christians who will take their place in society and influence it positively.
