Holy Rosary School is situated in the Hobart suburb of Claremont, famous for its Cadbury's Chocolate factory. We were founded in 1961 with a view to providing a Catholic education to the children of the St Bernard's Parish Claremont. Our origins were humble, we first opened on the 31st January with an enrolment of 37 students. Today we have over 450 students from Kindergarten to Grade Six.
We operate under the composite model of class structure from grades 3 to 6 enabling us to provide more fully for the individual needs of our students. We have a long and proud history of being a community minded school, providing for the needs of the Northern Suburbs. We have a strong link with our Parish St Bernard's Claremont and work in collaboration
with them in the area of Sacramental development.
