Welcome to Penguin Primary School. Penguin has a population of 4000 people and is situated in rural, North West Coast of Tasmania. Our school celebrates its 125 year anniversary in 2010 and opened on its present site, adjacent to Penguin High school, in 1990. Approximately 350 students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 attend Penguin Primary School. We also provide a Launching into Learning program, which is regularly accessed by more than 70 families and an onsite Out of School Hours Care Service. The staff of Penguin Primary are dedicated, experienced and highly qualified. The school is supported by specialist staff responsible for Literacy support, Physical Education, Music, Indonesian and Information Technology. Support staff also provide library services, technical support, administrative services, classroom assistance and special education support.
