St. Patrick’s School, Pyramid Hill stands on the traditional land of the Jaara People who have inhabited this country for many thousands of years. Our school was founded by a group of dedicated parents and the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1956.
Our School Motto ‘To Love Learn and Respect’ together with our Vision and Mission Statement embraces all the values and expectations that are needed to provide a welcoming and an excellent learning environment for all.
St. Patrick’s aims to use all possible means to reinforce and further develop the formation of faith begun at home.
By working together, staff members, parents and Fr. Peter Fewerda aim to develop the children in the knowledge, skills, attitudes and awareness of the Catholic Faith. This encouragement of trust and goodwill between all persons within the school allows greater freedom and maximum benefits for all personnel, therefore structural rules and regulations are avoided whenever possible.
In keeping with this ideal, all members of the staff are to share the responsibility of maintaining and developing positive attitudes towards the needs, feelings and talents of the children, their parents, other staff members and the community.
Our small class sizes allows teachers to cater for individual needs and assist us in achieving high standards and close teacher-student relationships. It also helps us to provide the best educational opportunities for those in our care.
