Novita Children's Services (formerly The Crippled Children's Association of SA Inc) was incorporated in 1939, providing care to children affected by the polio epidemic through support of the State Government of South Australia. Today, as a community-based, non-for-profit organisation, Novita provides therapy, equipment and support services to over 1,000 South Australian children and young people with physical and/or severe multiple disabilities and their families. Through our work, Novita aims to provide opportunities that enable our clients to become fully participating members of the community. Our clients range in age from birth to 18 years. While cerebral palsy remains the most prevalent type of disability encountered, other conditions include acquired brain injury, muscular dystrophy and spina bifida.
