The aim of the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts is to establish an institution of exceptional standard, gleaning everything positive from existing Performing Arts institutions but evolving an identity that is inspired by Aboriginal creativity and uniqueness.
ACPA’s work contributes strongly to Council of Australian Government’s (COAG)
Closing the Gap agenda in the key areas of:
· Maintaining, valuing and strengthening Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and
· Improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians’ levels of skills, training and employment.
