Early Learners Pre-School operates at 272 Millers Road Altona North. We are open between 7:45 am and 5:45 pm. Early Learners provides an enquiry based educational program for children aged from 5 months – 5 years of age and prepares children – academically, socially and emotionally – for school.
Early Learners Junior (5 months-3 years) offers children a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities but the fundamental focus during these years is children’s social and emotional development.
Early Learning Centre (3-5 years) offers a two or three year educational program for children from three years to school age. Children enjoy a range of daily activities which succeed because they are fun. These assist children to - develop their concentration, ability to complete tasks, listening skills and most importantly foster their self-esteem and self-confidence.
In the four year old classes the Primary or Early Childhood trained teachers have within their enquiry based learning program a strong literacy focus and all children can participate in a unique reading program. The curriculum also includes a range of specialist subjects such as tennis/soccer, music, French and karate as well as numeracy and science activities and environmental studies. Parents of children in the Early Learning Centre are encouraged to be actively involved in their children’s education and our Homethink program provides parents with suggestions for consolidating their children’s learning.
