Hume Public School caters for children from Preschool to Year 6. It consists of a full time preschool class, four special education classes and ten main stream classes. The school is set in extensive grounds.
The school population is drawn from a wide ranging socio-economic community, including numerous indigenous families. The school's mission statement is based on the theme "Shaping Our Future".
