Corpus Christi is a parish school with Christ as its reason for being and Christianity as a way of life. We are continually striving to ensure Parish and School ties remain strong, and involve ourselves in parish programs and activities. The school has a strong community focus and enjoys a good working relationship with surrounding schools St Phillip’s Christian School and Waratah Public School, as well as with the Anglican parish of Waratah, the Mater Hospital and St Martin de Pores Hostel.
Corpus Christi aims at supporting Catholic families in developing each child to his or her own potential. Originally Corpus Christi catered only for the families of Waratah, but now draws on the areas of Warabrook, Broadmeadow, Mayfield West and Georgetown. For many years Waratah has been the home of industrial workers, but in recent times a wider range of socio-economic backgrounds has become evident. Proximity to the University and Mater Hospital and the influx of overseas students and doctors, have had an impact on our enrolment. There are a significant number of multicultural enrolments from the 30 plus nationalities represented in the parish.
