The Senior School focuses on preparing students for life beyond Northside. Most students pursue an academic program oriented towards receiving an Overall Position, preparatory to tertiary studies. The remainder of students enter the Vocational Education Program which prepares them specifically for the workforce and includes nationally recognised units of study, one day per week work placement, and school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. Northside Christian College exists to challenge our students to achieve their highest academic potential, to fully develop their God-given gifts, to know Jesus Christ as Lord, and to love others as themselves - in order that they may serve the world through their character and leadership. We believe that students learn as they follow examples, are exposed to ideas, practise skills, and are challenged to investigate and to think creatively and imaginatively. We believe, therefore, that it is our responsibility to provide the role models, the body of knowledge, the practical experiences, the opportunities for physical development, and intellectual and cultural challenges that students need. We are committed to doing all we can to create an atmosphere of love, security and hope in order to foster wise decision-making and to help our students respond with integrity to all these challenges and opportunities.
