The Centre for Applied Linguistics and Languages (CALL) was established to provide high quality advisory services, courses and research in any area of language, language learning, language testing and language policy. It offers advisory services to education, industry, government departments and organisations of many different types. Its services are available on campus, off campus, interstate or overseas. CALL provides courses in English, other languages, and in language teaching or any other aspect of applied linguistics. CALL offers non-award and award courses at graduate certificate level. A range of English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) and short study courses for overseas students are provided by CALL.
CALL has the development of high quality second and foreign language learning programs, excellence in the development and implementation of applied linguistic theory and practice, and the promotion and development of applied linguistics through the provision of high quality training programs, research and consultancy services.
