Goomalling has a population of approximately 550 and is located 130km north east of Perth. Goomalling is in the central wheatbelt and relies heavily on the surrounding farms for employment. The town has its own hospital that operates around the clock and has excellent sporting facilities with a swimming pool, tennis courts, lawn bowls, golf course, gymnasium and oval.
