About Aboriginal Enviroments Research Centre

The AERC is a centre for academic research on Indigenous culture, environments and architecture. The centre has gained widespread recognition from Architecture and Anthropology Departments within Australian Universities, as well as from a range of government agencies and Indigenous organisations. The AERC now performs three functions; it is a research and consultancy practice (Paul Memmott & Associates - PMA), a teaching centre, and an archive. The centre's work focuses on the cultures and environments of Indigenous peoples.
