The 'old' Marian School was the rock for this community for 112 years. Our 'new' school is now thirteen years of age and is experiencing amazing growth. We have more than doubled in size and demographics indicate Marian will continue to grow, with young families enjoying the rural life in the beautiful Pioneer Valley.
The 'new' Marian State School was built in 1999 and retains an emphasis on the basics as well as a caring approach for each and every student. New parents and children quickly become part of our growing school community.
From 2012 teachers will be delivering the National Curriculum. Marian has been rated in the top echelon of schools in the district based on results, surveys and performance. We are strong in the Key Learning Area of Technology and in Information Communication Technologies and the Pioneer Valley’s only One School Guiding Coalition primary school.
