The Top Kids Childcare & Pre-School Boronia Centre was purpose designed and built after extensive research and evaluation of overseas childcare centres. It features many unique child beneficial qualities that improve safety and enhances the child's experience. For instance, in the Nursery and Toddler rooms, in addition to regular ducted heating and cooling, the floors the children play on are heated, sliding doors have been custom built to include a safety gap so that it’s impossible for children to jam their fingers. There are also windows at child height with the Nursery having a special babies' window that allows them to see other children in the Toddler room. Natural lighting provisions and ventilation are well above government requirements and all rooms open out with double doors to experience specific play areas. Rooms are designed so that staff can maintain a continuous line of sight with children and all surface finishes are bacteria resistant to maximise hygiene.
