Shine Child Care’s programs focus on the family, the homeliness of our Centre, and the richness of our environment and its’ natural surroundings. We emphasise the important role the Centre plays in nurturing and educating the children in our care, through the development of trust, security and consistent relationships.
Our programs are founded on our knowledge that early childhood development focuses on the social, emotional, cognitive, physical and sensory development of each individual child, and use play as a means for this discovery process.
Our staff are allocated time each week to program for each individual child and the group as a whole. Management are involved in supporting staff with planning, and are also committed to providing opportunities for the Shine staff to access continual professional development that will complement and extend their knowledge of the early childhood field. Families are encouraged to actively participate in the Centre’s educational programs.
Management and Staff will continually implement best practice, focused on what is in the best interests of the children. That best practice will reflect the principles of accreditation, the Early Childhood Code of Ethics and our knowledge of current and emerging research and information.
