Kinma encourages children to become flexible thinkers and independent, self-directed learners. Kinma provides a curriculum designed to encourage each child to discover full academic, physical and social potential. Our programmes are based on an understanding of child development.
The balanced curriculum provides for the development of creative and critical abilities in a cooperative, non-competitive atmosphere. In 2003, some past students or their parents were invited to tell us about their own or their children's experiences at Kinma, and their achievements since leaving the school. You can read their stories.
Established in 1972, as a non-denominational, co-educational, non-profit Primary and Pre-School, Kinma is managed by parents and teachers via a school council. All parents are entitled to become members of the council.
Kinma's educational programme is accredited by the Board of Studies and it has been awarded the maximum term of accreditation available. A full copy of Kinma's Annual Report to the NSW Board of Studies can be obtained by contacting the Kinma office. Visitors are encouraged to discuss Kinma's educational programme with the staff at a mutually convenient time.
