Carmila State School is located within the Mackay Whitsunday region and is situated approximately 100km south of Mackay and 1km west of the Bruce Highway. Carmila is situated close to the beach.
There are currently 40 students enrolled. The school uses a multi-age approach to deliver the curriculum as prescribed by the Queensland Studies Authority. The school has two levels of education – Prep - 3 and years 4 – 7. Music, LOTE and Learning Support Teachers are all provided from Mackay on a weekly basis providing children with optimum learning opportunities. Carmila State School is involved in the Broadsound cluster of the Priority Country Area Program, and receives targeted funds to assist in special programs.
