Port Vincent Primary School, which celebrated its centenary in 1996, is situated on relatively large grounds of just over one hectare. These are well grassed and equipped, providing a stimulating, varied and safe environment for the children. Students are very proud of the adventure playground they helped design and acquire funding for.
The school currently consists of five main buildings including the Resource Centre, Library, Office/Admin, Year 4-7 classroom and the R-3 classroom. There are several sheds including a very large one which contains the co-sited Aquatics Centre's equipment. These sheds also provide catchments for the 'Harvesting Rainwater' project. We also have a Basketball/Tennis Court, Oval, Marine Studies Centre, Library, Music Centre and Technology workshop.The school was first established in 1896. The grounds are beautified by student murals on the Hitting Wall, Electricity Poles surrounding the school, on Classroom Walls and around Water Tanks. We make extensive use of Information Technology as a tool for learning. The school has a network of 8 computers connected to the internet with a variety of associated equipment.
