Manyallaluk School is located approximately 100km east of Katherine. The population of the surrounding community is approximately 150; residents come from the language groups of Mayali, Rembarrnga, Dalabon and Jawoyn. The community can be accessed all year round; 4WD access only during the wet season.
Manyallaluk School is part of the Katherine Group School and the development of literacy skills is a major focus for the school. Strategies include use of scaffolding techniques which are successful in developing students' confidence. Literacy and standard English skills are the focus for early childhood students using the Building Blocks to Literacy approach. A major focus is also the development of numeracy skills using the Count Me in Too approach. The school also offers a breakfast program.
