Bracknell Primary School is a small country school of approximately 68 students, some 25 minutes west of Launceston.
We cater for children from 0 to 12 years of age, starting with our ‘Little Possums’ (0-4) Launching Into Learning program on Wednesday afternoon, our pre-kindergarten program on Tuesday morning in Term 3 and we have a 3 day Kindergarten program all day Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. In 2011, in conjunction with the School Association we established the Bracknell Primary Outside School Hours Care facility which operates from After School Care from 3pm to 5.30pm five nights a week. In the holidays, we operate Vacation Care from 8.30am to 5.30pm five days per week and the school also offers a 3 day Active After-school Communities program for most of the year. We also have an Online Access Centre attached to the school so we believe that we offer a complete service from birth to Grade 6 and beyond. Our community has a vibrant School Association and Parents & Friends Committee that raise substantial funds for the school and are renowned for their food stall at AGFEST.
