Princes Street Primary School is situated in the Hobart inner suburban residential area of Dynnyrne. The school was established in 1922 and, over the years, has maintained a student enrolment in excess of 330 students. Since 1994 a partnership with the Sandy Bay Childcare Centre has provided on site during and after school care. The school has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere where all members of the school community are valued as individuals, respected and supported. Princes Street Primary has a reputation of high level community involvement and support. The school has a long established tradition of providing a quality learning environment which fosters and promotes high student learning outcomes. The staff and community work in partnership to provide educational opportunities enabling students to achieve excellent academic and social standards.
