Mudgeeraba State School is situated in the Gold Coast suburb of Mudgeeraba and has strong links with its community dating back to 1892.
The school offers a comprehensive curriculum program for students from Prep to Year 7. Students come to our school from about thirty Gold Coast suburbs and come from a variety of family backgrounds with the majority coming from middle class homes. Students’ attitudes towards their learning are very positive and reflect our school’s four expectations – I am Safe, I am Respectful, I am Responsible and I am a Learner.
The professional culture is also extremely positive with staff members ‘going the extra mile’ for their students. Curriculum programming has a strong focus on the development of literacy and numeracy skills.
Many co-curricular opportunities are offered to students to complement their learning in areas of passion or interest. Mudgeeraba has developed many distinctive features to its curriculum programming with whole-school science and ICT programs, dance, drama, visual arts and music programs, planned extension and inclusive intervention programs, extensive inter-school sporting and cultural programs, innovative ‘Kids in Care’ programs and an inclusive program for Students with Disabilities.
