The centre is a multidisciplinary research Centre with activities in Biological Membranes and Synthetic Membranes. The Centre has programs in: membrane-based manufacturing processes (chemical and biological reactor systems), product purification in food and process industry, purification of water, desalination, treatment, reclamation and safe disposal of wastes (including sewage), biomedical applications, membrane-based biosensor technology, fundamental research on biomembranes and membrane processes.
