At Burketown State School, students, staff and community work collaboratively to provide a safe and caring learning environment built
around high behavioural and learning expectations. It is our goal to provide students with the skills and knowledge to be able to
succeed in a rapidly changing future. This report provides an overview of our school and results during 2011 as well as outlining our
strategic goals for the future.
Specifically this report contains sections on our future outlook, characteristics of the student body, curriculum offerings, extra curricula
activities, social climate and our achievement in closing the gap. These sections and the results contained within them help to give an
overall impression of what it is like to study, work and be involved with Burketown State School.
