Georgetown Primary School is situated 196km north of Adelaide and is a member of the Yorke & Mid North Regional District. Georgetown is a small rural town with a population of 200 in predominantly a farming area. We are 50km from our nearest regional centre, Port Pirie. Georgetown is part of the Rocky River cluster with Gladstone Primary, Laura Primary, Wirrabara Primary and St Josephs Primary Schools.
Many of our students travel to school by bus from the nearby small towns of Gulnare and Yacka and surrounding farms.
The aim of Georgetown Primary School is to be the place that children are free to be the very best they can be. We provide students with opportunities, encouragement and direction to become valuable, active citizens in their community and their world.
