Manoora Primary School is situated approximately 120km north of Adelaide on the Barrier Highway, adjacent to the Clare Valley. The school has developed a strong focus on numeracy and literacy, through which students regularly achieve excellent results in numeracy and literacy competitions. Being a small school Manoora has two
classes; students are placed according to ability rather than year levels. The school has an established reading recovery program utilising the 'Rainbow' and 'Kaleidoscope' programs.
French is the school's second language which is delivered by the classroom teachers. The students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sports through a range of organisations. Music has a high profile in the school and the students are provided with instrumental training and choir. Being a school in a small rural town, there are strong community links with the school and excellent parent and community support and involvement. Our staff and Christian Pastoral Support Worker focus on maintaining positive, supportive, caring relationships among all students. 'Program Achieve' and 'You Can Do It' have been successfully implemented across the school.
