'Learning for Life with Respect and Equity' – Meander Primary School is an integral part of the village of Meander in the Meander Valley. Our community is located between Quamby Bluff and Mother Cummings Peak, prominent peaks of the Great Western Tiers or Kooparoona Niara mountains in northern Tasmania. We are a small rural school of typically 60–80 students, 10–12 staff and 30–40 families. Students are provided with an important start to their lifelong learning in a supportive environment based on respect and safety for everyone and a focus on promoting and developing connectedness, integrity, resilience, achievement, creativity, integrity, responsibility and equity. Staff are very experienced and strongly committed to improving our learning community. Families and members of our broader community are very supportive of our extensive range of school activities. Students from Golden Valley, Huntsman, Western Creek, Jackeys Marsh, Montana, Longhill and Meander attend our family friendly school.
