Tyrrell College is located in Sea Lake, a small Mallee town on the Calder Highway. The college offers a wide range of opportunities in an environment that encourages students to seek challenges and continue to learn and contribute beyond schooling.
The college has been organised on the key stages of learning:
Early Years Prep-4, Middle Years 5-9 and adolescent Years 10-12. Curriculum offered from Prep to Year 12 incorporates the eight learning areas with an emphasis on literacy, numeracy, and an integrated personal development program. Secondary level course structures, assessment and reporting practices have been modelled on the CSF outcomes and the VCE design.
Parents are welcomed and encouraged to participate in all college activities, becoming partners with teachers in developing positive educational outcomes for their children. Tyrrell College aims to provide students with the opportunity to become independent, caring and community-minded citizens.
