About Tungamah Primary School

Tungamah is a small agricultural township with a population of about 300 people on the Boosey Creek, 30 kilometres south west of Yarrawonga in North East Victoria. Most students are drawn from within the town itself; however, two bus routes also bring around 20 students from the nearby rural communities of Burramine South and St. James.

The school was established in 1880 in Barr Street and moved to its present Tower Street site in 1972. In addition to the complex of three classrooms, an administration block and library, the site includes a 25 metre swimming pool which is available to the general public outside school hours.
