Afterlee Public School is a one teacher school set in beautiful rural surroundings at the edge of the rain forest. The aim of Afterlee Public School is to provide a broad-based education for its students. This is achieved by: Responding to the students' needs; providing a safe and stimulating environment; offering a relevant and challenging curriculum; developing programs which respect individual differences and abilities;
providing effective leadership and shared decision making; and effective use of school resources. The school endeavours to overcome isolation through cultural and sporting excursions and inter school visits.
