Albury West Public School serves a diverse socio-economic and cultural community. The school is a member of the Schools In Partnership program and the Priority Schools Program that direct funds to schools with a high indigenous enrolment and a significant low socio economic enrolment. This allows the school to run a number of programs and initiatives to promote effective learning, attendance and engagement of students.The school aims to develop the personal, social, emotional and academic aspects of all students. The school strives to strike an appropriate balance for each individual between formal academic learning needs and their personal development. Maximizing achievement in literacy and numeracy is the major focus of learning programs, using a staged approach in all curriculum areas.
