Throughout the curriculum, priority is given to: The acquisition of language, literacy and numeracy skills; the welfare of students; the development of social skills necessary to learn, work and play cooperatively; and the importance of accepting responsibility for one's own actions and learning.
Literacy programs such as Accelerated Literacy and Reading Recovery are a major feature of the school curriculum.
