Our school is a Catholic school and rather unique because it is a small infants school situated within the city of Lismore. As a staff we recognise the value of this and endeavour to sustain a friendly and caring environment for the children in our care.
Having just the three classes - Kindergarten, Year One and Year Two - the children very quickly learn to be responsible and to take pride in their school. A small school community is conducive to a supportive parent community. Parents are welcome to choose the level and type of involvement of their own preference. Our 'Parent Group' meet twice a term and their support is greatly appreciated.
Our Lady of Lourdes Infants School is part of St Carthage's Parish. As such we endeavour to support many Parish events. Fr Paul McDonald is the Administrator of St Carthage's Cathedral and also our school chaplain. The schools within St Carthage's Parish are - St John's College, Woodlawn; Trinity Catholic College; St Carthage's Primary School and Our Lady of Lourdes Infants School.
