Gymea Technology High school was established in 1963, and is set on large, spacious grounds, on the Princes Highway at Gymea. We are a community comprehensive school which provides a caring and supportive learning environment for students and staff. Our key emphasis is the pursuit of educating for the future.
At our school we aim for all students to achieve their full potential as we all work together to help them lead happy, purposeful and productive lives.
At Gymea we have established a co-operative learning environment, supported by highly experienced, committed and competent teachers, in which we encourage all of our students to strive for individual excellence. Close co-operation with both parents and the local community is an integral part of achieving this goal.
One of the advantages of our school at Gymea is that it is a special Technology High School. Besides studying the usual range of School Certificate and Higher School Certificate subjects, our students are able to explore aspects of technology through specially designed elective courses across the school’s total curriculum and accelerated computing classes for talented students.
