About Albany Creek State High School

Albany Creek State High School is located approximately 16 kilometres north of Brisbane. The school, occupying 15.9 hectares, is situated on the corner of Old Northern Road and Albany Forest Drive. Set in a natural area of schlerophyll forest, the school is centrally located in the Albany Creek / Albany Forest district of Pine Rivers Shire. One-level buildings with covered walkways are enhanced by established plantings of Australian native shrubs and trees.

Our school has been proactive in forging partnerships with external agencies. Many School based apprenticeships and traineeships have been organized in 2008. The school works closely with Industry groups such as the Brendale Manufacturing Group, and community organizations such as the Salvation Army, In Work, Busy at Work and Youthworks, to provide work experience, school based apprenticeships and traineeships. Many of our students are completing TAFE courses and some are enrolled in the university Start QUT program while still at school.
