Welcome to our school. Our dedicated staff work in partnership with parents and the Marlborough community to implement a futures oriented curriculum with a strong focus on the explicit teaching of english and mathematics. In partnership with our parents we develop students who are capable, optimistic and socially aware. We believe in honesty and trust.
Marlborough State School is located in the township of Marlborough, 106 km north of Rockhampton on the Bruce Highway. The school was opened in 1917 and currently is a two teacher school with an enrolment of 28 students. Our close-knit community is supported by a hard working Parents and Citizens Assocation who constantly develop ways to raise funds to support effective learning for students.
The school grounds are quite spacious and pleasant. Having our own bore and underground sprinkler system to the oval means that we are able to keep parts of the school grounds green, even in times of drought. The school oval, multipurpose court, shaded adventure and playground areas all provide opportunities for students to enjoy a range of outdoor activities in a sun safe environment.
