Marmor State School is situated 40 km south of Rockhampton on the Bruce highway between Rockhampton and Gladstone. The school has served the community since 1906 and 2006 is identified as the Marmor State School Centenary Year. Marmor is a Band 5 coeducational school with a full time Teaching Principal, support staff and one multi-grade teaching classroom.
There are currently 11 students attending Marmor State School. Marmor currently offers Prep -Yr 7 curriculum. Students attending Marmor come from a variety of socio- economic backgrounds and family structures.
