Mountain Creek State High School is the largest and most popular school on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Located in the suburb of Mooloolaba, 100km north of Brisbane, Mountain Creek State High School has grown from an enrolment of 360 in its foundation year in 1995 to just over 2000 students in 2010.

The school’s students pride themselves on success and achievement. Not only is there emphasis on academic achievement but also on sporting achievement (where students have the opportunity of representing the school in swimming, athletics, cross-country and 32 other sports played at inter-school level), on debating and public speaking and on involvement in music and performing arts.
