Redland District Special School which is located in Thornlands and close to beautiful Moreton Bay. Thornlands is about 40 minutes from the heart of Brisbane and surrounded by koala bushland and the sea.
Redland District Special School provides educational programs for students with disabilities from birth through to 18 years of age. Programs for students of non compulsory age are delivered through the Redland District Early Childhood Development Program (ECDP). The school also provides a full time Prep program for students with high support needs who are more than likely to attend the Special School full time in the future.
Our school provides a safe and supportive environment for students with disabilities to learn individualised skills designed uniquely for them, and delivered in a flexible way at a pace suited to the student. Our staff create a fun and challenging learning environment where the students are valued and respected.
