Hincks Avenue Primary School is located in Whyalla Norrie, about 380 kilometres north by road from Adelaide.
The multicultural school community is socially and economically diverse. School and class codes of behaviour that underpin everything we do are based on values of respecting individual dignity and worth; open communication; teamwork; honesty; trust; and pride in ourselves and our school.
We are fortunate to have large learning spaces with small class sizes. Each classroom has a support officer to assist literacy and numeracy programs, intervention groups and students with disabilities. A full-time school counsellor leads the focus on achievement programs and student wellbeing. Our student representative council (SRC) is extremely active and plays a vital role in the day to day activities and decision-making of the school.
Students have access to electronic whiteboards in each learning area and a modern computer suite. Our choir and recorder group regularly perform at various venues in the community.
