Whyalla High School was the first high school built in Whyalla. It was built by BHP in 1943, as a Technical school for BHP’s apprentices to be educated in. Whyalla High School is now a middle school catering for Years 8, 9 and 10 students.
At Whyalla High School we place great importance on the welfare of all young people. A successful learning environment is developed and supported through positive relationships, middle school methodologies, learning support and individual learning plans.
Students at Whyalla High School excel in many areas of their personal development, including academic achievements, sporting success, music and performing arts, outdoor education activities to mention just a few.
