Waimea Heights is a primary school, set in large grounds in Sandy Bay, Hobart, Tasmania close to the city and to the Derwent River, the lifeblood of Tasmania's capital city.
The school caters for approximately 260 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. It has two multi-purpose playing fields, a tennis court, netball courts, cricket practice nets and a grassed playing area which includes climbing equipment, sandpit and barbecue areas.
An on-site, purpose-built centre accommodates child care facilities for 3-5 year-olds. Taroona High School is our designated secondary education provider, for Years 7 to 10.
At Waimea Heights, we share common goals in striving "Ever Onwards" as we seek to provide for the needs of our future generation.
