Boort District School is a small rural P12 school located in north central Victoria. In 2011 we have a student enrolment of 231 and a full time teaching staff of 24.
The school curriculum program is supplemented by the North Central Cluster Centre which provides the majority of the technology and Vocational Education and Training provision for our students. Cooperation with the other North Central Cluster schools (Charlton, Wedderburn, St Arnaud, Wycheproof, Donald and Pyramid Hill) in the staffing and funding of the Cluster Centre, as well as in the sharing of Video Conferencing facilities enables the College to provide a comprehensive curriculum.
The vertical structure of the curriculum also assists the College in providing an engaging and challenging program whilst giving all students the opportunity and support to achieve success. The academic results for the school are very good with VCE results usually in the top 5 of the Region.
The school is characterised by stable staff and strong community support and involvement. There is a strong extra-curricular program in sport and music.
