Southern Cross District High School

Southern Cross is the administrative and service center for the Shire of Yilgarn. The shire is home to some 2,500 people who are dispersed across approximately 30,000 square kilometers. Most families occupy homes in the township of Southern Cross and the settlements of Bullfinch and Marvel Loch. Others are dispersed throughout the shire at rural/agricultural and pastoral locations. The shire benefits from a mixed economy comprising mining, rural and tourism sectors.
