The suburb of Woodlands was developed in the late 1950's and early 1960's. The suburb's design features numerous cul-de-sacs and many streets which carry little 'through' traffic, and an emphasis has been placed on the pleasing development of lake, parkland and play areas. As the name 'Woodlands' suggests most streets carry the names of trees. Forward planning saw many trees retained at the school site and throughout the suburb, providing the school with a delightfully picturesque and shady environment.
